Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct patient care including bathing, dressing, and assisting with activities of daily living
• Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes to the nursing team
• Assist with safe patient transfers and mobility, using proper body mechanics
• Support residents with meals and nutrition needs while encouraging independence
• Document care activities promptly and clearly in the patient record
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary staff to deliver individualized care plans
• Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for patients and families

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required
• Valid CNA authorization to practice in Pennsylvania
• Basic CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Able to pass required background checks and health screenings
• Reliable, professional, and comfortable working in a team-focused care setting
• Previous CNA experience helpful but motivated new CNAs are welcome to apply

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Current CNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in personal care and assisting with activities of daily living
• Comfortable taking and documenting vital signs and patient observations
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with patients and family members
• Knowledge of infection control practices and patient safety principles
• Ability to follow care plans and take direction from nursing staff
• Basic charting and electronic health record familiarity is a plus
