Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to geriatric residents with dignity and respect
• Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
• Monitor and report changes in condition such as vital signs or behavior to nursing staff
• Support safe mobility and fall-prevention measures during transfers and ambulation
• Document care provided accurately and timely in resident records
• Collaborate with the care team to deliver person-centered care plans
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control practices

Qualifications

• GNA certification (or equivalent state-approved nursing assistant certification) preferred
• Prior experience in long-term care, assisted living, or geriatric settings is a plus
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Ability to pass background check and meet facility onboarding requirements
• Strong communication skills and a patient, respectful approach to elders
• Reliable transportation and ability to work night shifts

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of a state-approved GNA or nursing assistant program preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Understanding of geriatric care principles and dignity-focused care
• Basic clinical skills such as taking vital signs and observing for changes
• Safe transfer and mobility assistance techniques
• Infection control and hygiene best practices
• Good documentation and time-management skills
• Ability to work well as part of a multidisciplinary care team
