Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality radiation oncology care for adult patients in outpatient and hospital settings
- Perform and oversee conventional radiotherapy, 3D-CRT, IGRT, IMRT and stereotactic treatments including SBRT and fractionated SRS
- Order appropriate tests and imaging to guide diagnosis and treatment planning
- Prescribe and manage radiation treatment plans in collaboration with physics and therapy teams
- Document care accurately in Mosaiq and Epic to ensure continuity and safety
- Collaborate with the on-site APP and other radiation oncologists to maintain seamless patient coverage
- Manage a typical outpatient panel (approximately 20 patients/day) while maintaining patient-centered communication
Qualifications
- MD or DO degree with completion of an accredited Radiation Oncology residency
- Board certified or board eligible in Radiation Oncology preferred
- Active state medical license in Ohio, or ability to obtain one in a timely manner
- Experience with treatment modalities such as IMRT, IGRT, 3D-CRT, SBRT and SRS
- Proficiency with Mosaiq and Epic EMR systems
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Comfort managing outpatient clinic volume (~20 patients/day) and occasional inpatient consults
Education
- MD or DO
- Completion of Radiation Oncology residency
Knowledge & Skills
- Expertise in Radiation Oncology treatment planning and delivery
- Familiarity with Mosaiq and Epic for documentation and orders
- Skilled in IMRT, IGRT, 3D radiotherapy techniques, SBRT and stereotactic radiosurgery
- Able to order and interpret imaging and diagnostic tests to guide care
- Experience working in both free-standing cancer centers and hospital-based environments
- Focus on adult patient population and delivering compassionate oncology care
