Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to Med/Surg patients on a 30-bed unit
• Assess patient condition, identify changes, and implement appropriate interventions
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately following facility protocols
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate holistic patient care
• Document patient care, assessments, and interventions clearly in the electronic medical record
• Respond effectively to trauma situations drawing on Level 1 trauma experience when needed
• Support patient and family education to promote recovery and safe transitions

Qualifications

• Active RN license (state-specific requirements to be met prior to start)
• BLS required; ACLS preferred
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg nursing experience
• Experience in a Level 1 trauma center or a mid-to-large hospital is required
• Travel nursing experience preferred; punctuality and a positive attitude are must-haves
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced clinical environment

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong Med/Surg clinical skills and patient assessment abilities
• Trauma triage and bedside care experience for acute situations
• Proficient medication administration and IV care skills
• Skilled in documentation and use of electronic medical records
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and time-management skills
• Adaptability to unit workflows and patient ratio demands (5-6:1)
