Candidate Pay Rate: $53 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide advanced respiratory care and ventilator management for adult critical care patients
- Operate and troubleshoot a variety of ventilators and high-flow oxygen devices (GE R860, Draeger, Hamilton, Newport, Vapotherm, Comfort Flow)
- Perform all respiratory therapy tasks and procedures across critical care units and floors
- Document assessments, treatments and ventilator changes accurately in Cerner EMR
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient-centered respiratory plans
- Respond to emergency codes and bedside assessments with calm, confident clinical action
- Support orientation and cross-coverage across critical care areas as a flexible resource
Qualifications
- Current North Carolina Respiratory License (required)
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential (required)
- BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications (required)
- NRP and ACCS are nice-to-have and will strengthen your candidacy
- Minimum 2 years of relevant respiratory/critical care experience
- Comfort with floating to all critical care units and floors
Education
- Completion of an accredited respiratory therapy program or equivalent (prepares for RRT credential)
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong mechanical ventilation skills and ventilator management
- Experience with adult critical care respiratory practices
- Proficient documentation in Cerner EMR
- Familiarity with GE R860, Draeger infant/peds vents, Newport HT70 transport vent and Hamilton C1
- Skill using high-flow oxygen devices such as Vapotherm and Comfort Flow
- Ability to prioritize, communicate clearly, and collaborate in high-acuity settings
