Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality CT scans while adhering to established protocols and safety standards
- Position patients with care and compassion, ensuring comfort and dignity throughout the exam
- Administer contrast according to facility policy and monitor patients for reactions (per facility scope)
- Operate and troubleshoot CT equipment, reporting any issues promptly to engineering or leadership
- Maintain accurate patient records and document procedures clearly in the imaging system
- Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and support staff to ensure efficient patient flow
- Participate in quality assurance activities and adhere to infection control and radiation safety practices
Qualifications
- Valid state licensure/certification for radiologic/CT technologists (license verification required)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification (required)
- DCI/BVP certification (required)
- Ability to pass required health screenings and background checks (COVID-19 vaccine, TB, drug screen, etc.)
- Comfort working night shifts and delivering excellent patient care during busy hours
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
Knowledge & Skills
- Proven experience with CT imaging and computed tomography techniques
- Familiarity with CT protocols, patient positioning, and radiation safety principles
- Skill using imaging software/DICOM viewers and documenting in PACS/RIS
- Ability to follow facility protocols for contrast administration and patient monitoring
- Attention to detail, strong infection control practices, and patient-centered bedside manner
