Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate daily care and assist residents with activities of daily living
• Monitor resident condition and report changes promptly to the care team
• Support safe transfers, mobility assistance, and personal hygiene with dignity
• Document care accurately and communicate clearly with nurses and family
• Help create a warm, respectful environment that promotes resident well-being

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in New York
• Comfortable assisting with ADLs, transfers, and basic patient care
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Up-to-date immunizations and TB screening as required by facility
• Ability to pass background check and meet facility onboarding requirements
• Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an accredited CNA training program and state certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Practical knowledge of patient safety, infection control, and hygiene practices
• Skillful in providing compassionate hands-on care and observing changes in condition
• Basic documentation skills and familiarity with electronic charting or paper charts
• Good time management and the ability to multitask during busy shifts
• Collaborative approach to working with nurses, therapists, and support staff
