Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living with dignity and respect
• Provide compassionate bedside care and emotional support
• Perform routine tasks such as bathing, dressing, toileting, and mobility assistance
• Take and record vital signs and report changes in condition promptly
• Maintain accurate resident documentation and communicate with the care team
• Follow infection control procedures and facility protocols consistently
• Help create a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for residents

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential (required)
• Active CNA registration or licensure in New York (required)
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Comfortable working in skilled nursing care settings and assisting with ADLs
• Compassionate, reliable, and able to communicate effectively with residents and team members

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Completion of an approved CNA training program and current CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of basic patient care and ADLs
• Comfort with safe resident handling and mobility assistance
• Ability to take and document vital signs accurately
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Basic infection control and hygiene practices
• Attention to detail for documentation and resident observations
