Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care on your assigned shift
• Perform thorough assessments and document patient status clearly and timely
• Administer medications and treatments safely, following facility protocols
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate and optimize patient care
• Respond quickly and effectively to changes in patient condition
• Educate patients and families to support recovery, discharge planning, and self-care
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and communicate handoffs clearly

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license — Maine license required or eligible
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS preferred
• Prior acute care nursing experience preferred but new grads with strong clinical skills are welcome to apply
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a fast-paced team
• Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and effective communication skills

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of medical-surgical nursing principles and bedside care
• Comfortable with IV therapy, medication administration, and patient assessment
• Familiarity with electronic health record documentation
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to educate patients and families
• Ability to prioritize, multitask, and remain calm under pressure
