Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (day) with alternating weekends (rotating)
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $46 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess patients' functional abilities and occupational needs to create individualized care plans
- Develop and implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions to promote independence
- Collaborate closely with nurses, physicians, and other therapists to coordinate patient care
- Document patient progress, treatment plans, and discharge recommendations accurately and timely
- Educate patients and families on home strategies, adaptive equipment, and safety
- Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives and maintain competency through required testing
Qualifications
- Licensed Occupational Therapist in the state of Michigan (MI licensure required)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
- Ability to work 1.0 FTE, daytime schedule with alternating weekends
- Willingness and ability to complete Prime Core Competencies Exam, Prime Skills Checklist, and Prime Specialty Exam
- Meeting required health screenings and immunizations as listed (COVID-19 vaccine, MMR, TB testing, Fit Test, etc.)
Education
- Graduation from an accredited Occupational Therapy program (e.g., MSOT or OTD) required
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong clinical assessment and treatment planning skills for acute care patients
- Skilled in documentation and use of hospital charting systems
- Ability to recommend and train on adaptive equipment and functional mobility
- Excellent communication and interdisciplinary collaboration skills
- Time management and caseload prioritization in a fast-paced setting
