Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality respiratory care to adult patients, ensuring comfort and safety
• Assess respiratory status, interpret ABGs, and implement appropriate treatment plans
• Operate and manage ventilators and non-invasive ventilation devices with confidence
• Perform airway management, oxygen therapy, aerosol treatments, and chest physiotherapy
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the patient record and assist with care plans
• Participate in competency exams, skills checklists, and facility-required testing

Qualifications

• Current Respiratory Care Practitioner credentials (state license as required)
• BLS certification (required)
• ACLS certification (required)
• PALS certification (required)
• DCI/BVP (required)
• Successful completion of facility onboarding: core competencies, skills checklist, specialty exam
• Pass required health screenings and verifications (drug screen, TB test, immunizations, fit test)

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of adult respiratory care practices and ventilator management
• Proficient in airway management, oxygen therapy, aerosolized medication delivery
• Ability to interpret arterial blood gases and adjust therapies accordingly
• Skilled in infection control procedures and patient safety protocols
• Comfortable with electronic medical records and clear clinical documentation
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills in a fast-paced environment
