Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform and assist with cath lab procedures and electrophysiology cases with precision and care
• Monitor cardiovascular status and hemodynamics to support optimal patient outcomes
• Operate and maintain imaging and cath lab equipment, ensuring safe and reliable performance
• Document procedures, patient status, and interventions accurately in the electronic record
• Verify and maintain certification and licensure records, participating in required competency testing
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and the cardiovascular team to deliver coordinated care
• Adhere to infection control, safety protocols, and facility policies to protect patients and staff
• Support pre-procedure and post-procedure patient care, including preparation and recovery monitoring

Qualifications

• ARRT-R and state licensure as required (must have or be eligible)
• RCIS OR Registered Electrophysiology Specialist required
• BLS/BCLS (AHA) required upon hire and must remain current
• ACLS required within 30 days of hire
• DCI/BVP certification listed among required credentials
• Previous Cardiovascular Lab or Cath Lab experience preferred
• Completion of a cardiovascular technologist training program with emphasis in invasive cardiology preferred
• Ability to pass Prime drug screen, color-blind test, PPD/chest X-ray, and required immunizations/vaccines

Education

• Cardiovascular technologist training program with emphasis in invasive cardiology (preferred)

Knowledge & Skills

• Cath lab procedures and cardiovascular invasive skills
• Hemodynamic and cardiovascular monitoring
• Proficient computer skills and electronic health record documentation
• Interventional Radiology (IR) experience is a plus
• Strong attention to detail for equipment checks, safety, and infection control
• Comfort with competency exams and structured skills checklists
