Shift Type: Rotating night shifts, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, including every other weekend and every other holiday; schedule may require weekend block coverage (example: Friday 7:00 PM - Monday 7:00 AM) and floating within ICUs when census is low
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $53 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-acuity post-operative care for open heart (CABG) patients with vigilance and clinical skill
- Manage complex critical care patients in SICU/MICU/Neuro settings, including neuro assessments and stroke care
- Initiate, monitor, and troubleshoot CRRT therapies safely and effectively
- Administer and titrate complex medications and emergency therapies, including TNK where indicated
- Document all care thoroughly and efficiently in EPIC to maintain continuity and compliance
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and execute individualized patient care plans
- Participate in required competency testing and maintain certifications to ensure top-quality care
- Adapt to floating assignments and changing unit needs while maintaining patient safety
Qualifications
- Active RN license (Nursys verification listed)
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- NIHSS certification and DCI/BVP listed as required certifications
- Demonstrated experience in ICU settings (SICU, MICU, Neuro) with open heart/CABG and CRRT experience
- Proven EPIC documentation experience
- Willingness to float to other ICUs when census requires
- Ability to work rotating nights, every other weekend and every other holiday
- Successful completion of Prime testing and skills checklist, drug screen, health screenings, and required vaccinations
Knowledge & Skills
- Post-op cardiac care and CABG management
- Continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT) operation and monitoring
- Neurological assessment and stroke protocols, including NIHSS
- Proficiency with EPIC charting and electronic documentation
- Advanced cardiac life support and acute critical care interventions
- Medication administration, titration, and critical care pharmacology
- Strong situational awareness, triage, and teamwork skills
- Ability to adapt quickly when floating across ICU specialties
