Roles & Responsibilities

• Monitor cardiac telemetry and promptly identify changes in patient rhythms
• Provide high-quality medical-surgical nursing care, including medication administration and documentation
• Float between units as needed to support staffing and patient needs
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create and execute patient-centered care plans
• Perform thorough assessments and escalate changes in condition in a timely manner
• Complete required Prime Core Competencies, Prime Skills Checklist, and specialty exams
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic health record
• Support a safe environment by adhering to infection control and hospital policies

Qualifications

• Active RN license (must be verifiable; Nursys listed)
• BLS required; ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications as applicable
• Experience in telemetry and medical-surgical nursing (preferred)
• Willingness and ability to float between units and work weekends
• Completion of required compliance items prior to start and full compliance profile within two weeks of start
• Successful drug screening (minimum 10-panel) and required health screenings/vaccinations
• Ability to pass Prime Core Competencies Exam, Prime Skills Checklist, and Prime Specialty Exam

Knowledge & Skills

• Telemetry rhythm recognition and cardiac assessment skills
• Strong medical-surgical clinical judgment and acute care skills
• Medication administration and IV/line management
• Proficient documentation in electronic health records
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to prioritize and adapt in a fast-paced hospital environment
• Familiarity with infection prevention practices and compliance processes
