Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, patient-centered care using the nursing process: assess, plan, implement and evaluate
• Provide direct emergency nursing care across a wide range of presentations
• Communicate changes in patient condition and diagnostic results clearly with physicians and the care team
• Lead and support patient and family teaching to ensure understanding and safe discharge
• Coordinate care activities with interdisciplinary teams and hospital resources
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality while adhering to EMTALA and mandated reporting requirements
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient status and treatment response

Qualifications

• Current and valid State RN license
• BLS (required)
• ACLS (required)
• PALS (required)
• NRP (required)
• BVP (MAB) training
• NIHSS / Stroke Certification preferred
• COVID vaccination/boosters preferred or documented declination
• Negative TB result and up-to-date immunizations (MMR, Varicella, Tdap, Hep B as required)
• Ability to complete drug screen, background check and facility compliance within required timeframes

• Patient assessment and care planning
• Implementation and evaluation of nursing interventions
• Patient and family education techniques
• Effective communication with physicians and interdisciplinary teams
• Familiarity with EMTALA regulations and mandated reporting
• Telemetry and emergency department workflows and prioritization
