Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality MRI scans with attention to patient comfort and safety
- Position patients accurately and operate MRI equipment following protocols
- Collaborate with radiologists and the care team to ensure clear diagnostic images
- Maintain accurate patient records, documentation, and imaging logs
- Complete required competency exams, specialty skills checklists, and documentation in a timely manner
- Follow all infection control, fit-test, and vaccination requirements to protect patients and staff
- Verify and maintain licensure and certification documentation as required
Qualifications
- Active MRI technologist credentials and license/certificate verification as required
- BLS certification required; DCI/BVP listed as a required certification
- ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications as applicable to the role
- Completion of required immunizations or valid declinations (MMR, Varicella, COVID-19, Influenza, Hepatitis B, Tdap)
- TB testing (PPD/negative chest X-ray) and a minimum 10-panel drug screen
- Willingness to complete Prime Core Competencies Exam, Prime Skills Checklist, and Prime Specialty Exam
- Availability to begin on 2026-01-17 and be engaged through 2026-07-17 (26-week per diem assignment)
- Preference for candidates able to work a fuller schedule through end of January and first week of February
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient in MRI equipment operation and safety protocols
- Strong patient positioning and communication skills
- Familiarity with MRI imaging protocols and artifact reduction techniques
- Ability to follow strict infection control, fit testing, and PPE procedures
- Competent in completing specialty competency exams and maintaining compliance
- Good documentation practices and EMR/image archive handling
