Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, rapid emergency nursing care to patients of all ages
• Assess, triage, stabilize and monitor patients in a fast-paced ED environment
• Perform emergency procedures and administer medications per protocol and scope
• Collaborate closely with physicians, techs and interdisciplinary team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Complete required documentation, exams and competencies in a timely, accurate manner
• Maintain mandatory compliance items (licenses, certifications, immunizations) and complete full compliance profile within two weeks of start
• Educate patients and families on care plans, follow-up and injury prevention

Qualifications

• Active nursing license (state verification required)
• Registered Nurse with Emergency Department experience preferred
• Current BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications; NRP as applicable
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and weekend rotations
• Per diem availability for a 26-week assignment
• Willingness to complete required onboarding checks: fit test, drug screen, immunizations/TB, and competency exams

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong emergency assessment, triage and critical thinking skills
• Familiarity with ACLS, PALS and NRP protocols and resuscitation practices
• Proficient with IV starts, medication administration and ED procedures
• Comfortable working in fast-paced, high-acuity settings
• Clear communicator with the ability to coordinate care across teams
• Knowledge of infection control, PPE use and occupational health requirements
• Experience completing competency exams and skills checklists
