Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide expert peri-procedural nursing care for cath lab patients, ensuring safety and comfort
• Prepare and monitor patients undergoing cardiac catheterization and related procedures
• Respond to on-call events and weekend coverage with calm, decisive clinical action
• Collaborate with physicians, techs, and the multidisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate documentation and complete required competency exams and skill checklists
• Ensure compliance with infection control, medication safety, and cath lab protocols

Qualifications

• Active nursing license (must be verifiable prior to start)
• Registered Nurse with Cath Lab experience
• BLS and ACLS certifications required; PALS and NRP as applicable
• Ability to work 12-hour day shifts and provide on-call/night or weekend coverage as needed
• Willingness to complete required compliance items and Prime competency exams within specified timeframes
• Comfort with fast-paced procedural environments and teamwork

Knowledge & Skills

• Cath Lab nursing and cardiac catheterization knowledge
• Monitoring and interpreting cardiac rhythms and hemodynamics
• Sterile technique and procedural room workflow
• Strong communication and teamwork in high-acuity settings
• Ability to perform under pressure during on-call events
