Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic ultrasound exams with professionalism and clinical accuracy
• Prepare patients and explain procedures clearly to ensure comfort and cooperation
• Collaborate with physicians and care teams to obtain quality imaging for diagnosis
• Maintain accurate patient records and document procedures in the electronic chart
• Adhere to safety protocols and infection control standards at all times
• Complete required competency exams and skills checklists as part of compliance
• Support unit needs as a flexible per diem team member, stepping in where care demands are highest

Qualifications

• Active nursing license verification or appropriate imaging technologist credential as required
• Current BLS required; ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications as applicable
• DCI/BVP and other facility-specific certifications as listed in the compliance packet
• Proof of required vaccinations (MMR, Varicella, COVID-19) or documented declination
• Ability to complete full compliance profile within two weeks of start date
• Successful completion of facility drug screening, color-blind test, fit test, and competency exams

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong ultrasound imaging skills and familiarity with common sonographic protocols
• Excellent patient positioning and communication skills
• Comfortable working independently in a per diem clinical environment
• Ability to follow established imaging and documentation procedures
• Attention to detail for compliance, credentialing, and charting requirements
• Team-oriented mindset and willingness to support unit staffing needs
