Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality CT scans while following established protocols and safety standards
• Operate CT equipment and adjust settings to obtain optimal diagnostic images
• Ensure patient safety and comfort by explaining procedures and monitoring during scans
• Administer contrast agents when authorized and monitor patients for reactions
• Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation in the radiology system
• Collaborate with radiologists, nurses and clinical staff to support patient care
• Adhere to radiation safety practices and infection control procedures
• Participate in competency exams and skills checklists to maintain clinical excellence

Qualifications

• BLS certification (required)
• DCI/BVP certification (required)
• License or certificate verification as required by the facility
• Completion of Prime Core Competencies, Prime Skills Checklist and Prime Specialty Exam
• Successful completion of drug screening, fit test and required immunizations
• Compliance with facility health requirements such as COVID-19 vaccine, TB testing and MMR

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of CT imaging techniques and patient positioning
• Familiarity with CT equipment operation and basic troubleshooting
• Understanding of radiation safety principles and infection control
• Ability to prepare and administer contrast agents when appropriate
• Skilled in patient communication, ensuring comfort and informed consent
• Comfortable documenting and maintaining imaging records accurately
• Team-oriented mindset and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
• Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining clinical competencies
