Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and triage patients quickly and compassionately in a fast-paced emergency setting
• Deliver urgent and evidence-based nursing care including medication administration and clinical interventions
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers and the care team to implement treatment plans
• Monitor patient condition and response to treatment, escalating concerns in a timely manner
• Document clinical findings and interventions accurately and thoroughly
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments and follow-up care
• Maintain infection control and safety practices to protect patients and staff

Qualifications

• Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license
• BLS certification (required)
• DCI/BVP (as listed)
• Completion of Prime Core Competencies Exam, Prime Skills Checklist and Prime Specialty Exam as required
• License/certificate verification and successful Prime drug screening (minimum 10-panel)
• Up-to-date immunizations and health requirements: COVID-19 vaccine, MMR, Hepatitis B, Influenza vaccine, TB test/PPD or chest x-ray, Varicella, Tdap, fit test
• Comfort working variable/rotating shifts in an emergency department environment

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong emergency nursing assessment and triage skills
• Ability to prioritize and multitask under pressure
• Clear, compassionate communication with patients, families and the care team
• Accurate clinical documentation and charting
• Familiarity with infection control, patient safety and ED workflows
• Teamwork and adaptability in a dynamic clinical environment
