Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, compassionate oncology nursing care to patients on night shift
• Monitor and document patient condition, recognizing and escalating changes promptly
• Perform clinical assessments, interventions and safe medication administration per policy
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient-centered care
• Support patients and families with education, symptom management and emotional support
• Complete required documentation, competency testing and unit-specific checklists

Qualifications

• Active RN license (state-appropriate) required prior to start
• BLS required; ACLS, PALS, NRP as applicable
• Proof of MMR and Varicella vaccination or formal attestation/declination
• Must complete Nursys verification and License/Certificate Verification
• Successful completion of Fit Test, COVID-19 vaccine requirement, and drug screening (minimum 10-panel)
• Ability to complete full compliance profile within two weeks after the start date
• Preference for clinicians available for a full schedule through the end of January and first week of February

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid oncology nursing knowledge and experience in acute care settings
• Strong patient assessment and monitoring skills during night shifts
• Competence with medication administration and adherence to safety protocols
• Infection control practices and immunization verification familiarity
• Comfortable with unit-specific competency exams/checklists and electronic charting
• Excellent communication, teamwork and critical thinking under nighttime conditions
