Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts: primarily 12:00 PM - 12:00 AM (day/evening rotation) with every-other-weekend (EOW) coverage and occasional holidays; may include backup/on-call response (approx. 5:00 PM - 6:00 AM weeknight call windows or 7:00 AM - 7:00 AM weekend coverage when on call). Shift type: rotating (day/evening with possible night/back-up call).

Candidate Pay Rate: $62 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality CT examinations (with and without contrast) using GE CT scanners to support accurate diagnoses
- Start IVs safely and efficiently when required for contrast-enhanced studies
- Operate Meditech and Fuji PACS for charting and image management with attention to detail
- Respond to trauma and ER cases calmly and quickly — your speed and skill matter
- Provide excellent patient care and clear communication to keep patients informed and comfortable
- Precept and mentor colleagues when asked, sharing best practices and fostering a learning culture
- Meet call response expectations (approximately 30-minute response window) and collaborate with in-house teams for backup coverage
Qualifications
- Current ARRT (CT) certification (Certified CT Technologist)
- Texas MRT license (must be active and in good standing)
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of CT experience, including ER and inpatient exposure
- Comfortable starting IVs and performing contrast studies
- Willingness to float between Bryan and College Station campuses as needed (approx. 16 minutes apart)
- Availability for every-other-weekend (EOW) coverage, occasional holidays, and agreed-upon call shifts
- Note: Candidates should not have been employed (FT/PT/PRN) by CommonSpirit/CHI/Dignity facilities within the past year; PRN employment through outside firms is considered
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient with GE CT scanner operation and maintenance basics
- Experienced with MEDITECH charting and Fuji PACS image management
- Strong trauma/ER imaging workflow knowledge and ability to prioritize critical studies
- Excellent IV insertion technique and contrast administration safety
- Solid patient care, communication, and positioning skills
- Ability to precept, teach, and provide constructive feedback to peers
