Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM (includes weekdays and weekends; typically 2 weekends/month; holiday coverage required as listed)

Candidate Pay Rate: $51 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide expert post-operative cardiac care to immediate post-op cardiac surgery patients with compassion and clinical precision
- Monitor and interpret hemodynamic data using PA catheters and advanced monitoring to guide patient management
- Manage mechanical circulatory support devices including IABP, Impella, CentriMag, ECMO, and HM3 LVAD safely and confidently
- Perform or assist with invasive procedures on unit such as central line insertion, Swan-Ganz placement, and intubation when required
- Document patient care accurately in Meditech and communicate changes clearly during handoff for seamless continuity
- Collaborate with intensivists, surgeons, and the interdisciplinary team to optimize patient plans and outcomes
- Advocate for patient safety and participate in unit initiatives that improve care quality and patient experience
Qualifications
- Current RN license in the state of practice
- Minimum 2 years of critical care/CVICU nursing experience
- Certifications required: ACLS and BLS
- Demonstrated experience with PA catheter management and hemodynamic monitoring
- Preferred experience with IABP, Impella, CRRT, ECMO, and LVAD management
- Comfort performing or assisting with central lines, Swan-Ganz placement, and intubations in an ICU setting
- Strong teamwork, excellent clinical judgment, and effective communication skills
Education
- Active RN license (state required for practice)
- Associate or Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred but not required (if applicable, bring your experience)
Knowledge & Skills
- Advanced hemodynamic monitoring and interpretation
- Mechanical circulatory support device care and troubleshooting (IABP, Impella, CentriMag, HM3 LVAD, ECMO)
- CRRT experience and familiarity with renal support modalities
- Proficiency with Meditech documentation and electronic charting
- Familiarity with Phillips bedside telemetry systems and Alaris IV pump operation
- Skilled in critical care procedures: central venous access, Swan-Ganz insertion, airway management
