Shift Type: Primarily 4x12-hour Day shifts, 07:00 AM - 07:00 PM; rotating schedule with every-other-weekend requirement (day shift)

Candidate Pay Rate: $51 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, patient-centered nursing care on an MS/Telemetry unit with attention to safety and clinical best practices
- Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, responding promptly to dysrhythmias and activating Rapid Response/Code teams as needed
- Manage IV lines and central/PICC access; administer blood products and titrate medications per protocols
- Perform complex bedside care including chest tube, feeding tube and wound/Vac management
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (PT, RT, pharmacy, social work) to create and execute patient care plans
- Document accurately and efficiently in Epic to ensure continuity of care and clear communication
- Float within scope to similar units when needed, contributing flexibility and teamwork to meet patient needs
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina (pending licenses are not accepted)
- Minimum ~2 years MS/Telemetry experience (telemetry experience required)
- Current BLS and ACLS required; NIHSS required
- Comfortable with Epic charting and unit-based telemetry monitoring
- Experience with IV therapy, central/PICC line care, and cardiac monitoring
- Ability to work rotating schedules including every-other-weekend coverage
- First-time travel RNs are welcome — the team supports travelers
Education
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina required
Knowledge & Skills
- Telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation (on-unit and remote monitoring)
- Medical-surgical nursing fundamentals with telemetry focus (MS/Tele)
- Epic electronic charting and clinical documentation
- IV therapy: starting/maintaining IVs, peripheral and central line care, PICC management
- Chest tube care and management of drains (Emerson/PleurEvac)
- High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), CPAP/BIPAP and other respiratory support
- Feeding tube care and wound care/Wound Vac experience
- Rapid Response and Code team participation; emergency cardiac management
- Familiarity with neurosurgical care (craniotomy, lumbar drains) and trauma patients
- Comfort caring for adult and geriatric populations in an acute care setting
