Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess patients to determine mental, physical, and spiritual needs and tailor care accordingly
• Plan, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team
• Provide clear explanations and education to patients and responsible parties to support informed decisions
• Use nursing clinical judgment to recognize, report, and act on changes in patient condition
• Maintain complete, accurate, and timely documentation in the medical record
• Contribute to Core Measures compliance and quality improvement efforts
• Foster a healthy workplace by managing conflict professionally and communicating effectively
• Participate in continuing education to keep skills current and support best practices

Qualifications

• Current Illinois Registered Nurse license (required)
• Current CPR/BLS certification (required)
• ACLS certification (required)
• Operating Room (OR) nursing experience preferred
• Comfortable collaborating with multidisciplinary teams in a fast-paced hospital setting
• Strong clinical judgment, documentation skills, and patient education abilities
• Willingness to participate in continuing education and meet Core Measure responsibilities

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient assessment and individualized care planning
• Implementing and evaluating plans of care with multidisciplinary input
• Surgical/Operating Room procedures and sterile technique
• Clear, professional communication with patients, families, and clinical teams
• Accurate documentation and medical record maintenance
• Core Measures compliance and quality-focused care
• Ability to adapt to varied clinical areas (ICU, PACU, Recovery Room, Telemetry) as needed
