Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour night shifts, 06:45 PM - 07:15 AM NOC, every other weekend

Candidate Pay Rate: $56 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess patient health using the nursing process and prioritize care based on acuity
- Develop individualized, measurable plans of care and update them as patients improve
- Implement nursing interventions and coordinate with interdisciplinary teams for safe, effective care
- Monitor telemetry and manage Med/Tele patients with accuracy and vigilance
- Document care in a retrievable, professional way—EPIC experience is a plus
- Educate patients and families to support recovery and continuity of care after discharge
- Participate in quality improvement activities and use data to improve practice
- Lead and delegate unit tasks during your shift, serving as a clinical resource
- Assist with out-of-facility patient transport when needed, ensuring safety and continuity
- Maintain certifications and engage in ongoing professional development
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure (eligible to work in Pennsylvania)
- Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (HCP BLS) certification (maintain/update per policy)
- Experience in Medical Telemetry / Med-Surg care (Med/Tele experience preferred)
- Comfort with night shift and 12-hour shift schedules
- EPIC charting experience preferred and will be given consideration
- Ability to participate in quality improvement and research-related activities
- Willingness to assist with out-of-facility patient transport as needed
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong skills in the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation
- Telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm recognition
- Care planning and clear, accurate documentation
- Patient and family education with a compassionate approach
- Quality improvement principles and participation in interdisciplinary teams
- Familiarity with EPIC or similar electronic health record systems
- Leadership, delegation, and unit-based decision-making
