Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform accurate patient history intake to ensure each plan of care starts with the full picture
- Coordinate incoming and outgoing referrals to keep patients moving smoothly through the care continuum
- Conduct patient assessments in the Radiation Oncology Clinic to support safe, effective treatment
- Assist with medication refill coordination to reduce patient stress and pharmacy delays
- Provide compassionate patient communication and education so patients and families understand next steps
- Collaborate closely with the interdisciplinary cancer care team to deliver coordinated, high-quality care
- Document thoroughly and efficiently in Epic to maintain clear clinical records and continuity
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN)
- Minimum 2 years of clinic experience (2 years clinic experience required)
- Oncology or Radiation Oncology clinic experience required
- Proficiency with Epic (electronic health record) is required
- Strong patient communication, education, and coordination skills
- Ability to start quickly and integrate into an established cancer care team

- Patient assessment and clinical triage
- Referral coordination and clinic workflow management
- Radiation oncology clinic workflow and oncology fundamentals
- Epic electronic health record proficiency
- Patient education, counseling, and medication refill assistance
- Interdisciplinary team coordination and clear clinical documentation
