Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Primarily Day, 3x12-hour shifts (07:00 AM - 07:30 PM); typically scheduled on weekdays with some weekend coverage (every 3rd weekend). Float within units of equivalent or lower acuity.
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Monitor telemetry and interpret dysrhythmias to provide timely, safe care
- Perform IV starts, peripheral line care, and phlebotomy with confidence
- Deliver wound VAC (Veriflo) therapy and manage musculoskeletal infection wounds
- Use EPIC for accurate and timely charting of assessments, medications, and interventions
- Respond as an active member of Rapid Response/Code teams when needed
- Provide respiratory support including nasal cannula and non-invasive airway management
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including PT, Respiratory, Pharmacy, and Social Services
- Float between units of equivalent or lower acuity as staffing demands require
Qualifications
- 2 years of nursing experience required
- BLS required
- ACLS preferred
- EPIC experience required
- Demonstrated IV start and telemetry/intermediate nursing skills
- Comfortable working with adult med-surg patients, including musculoskeletal infections and post-op ortho patients
- Able to float to units of equivalent or lower acuity and work occasional weekends
Knowledge & Skills
- Telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation
- Dysrhythmia management and use of rapid response/code protocols
- IV therapy, peripheral line care, and phlebotomy
- Wound VAC/Veriflo management for complex wound care
- Non-invasive airway management and basic respiratory support
- Infection control and isolation precautions/PPE
- Proficient EPIC clinical documentation and charting
- Strong patient assessment, prioritization, and communication skills
