Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate labor and delivery nursing care to mothers and neonates
• Circulate for C-sections in the OR, ensuring sterile technique and smooth workflow
• Conduct fetal monitoring and interpret tracing to support safe deliveries
• Deliver neonatal resuscitation (NRP) when needed and provide neonatal care
• Document all patient care accurately and efficiently in Epic
• Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, neonatologists and multidisciplinary teams
• Support patient education, discharge planning and family-centered care
• Float between like units when needed while maintaining high standards of care

Qualifications

• Active California RN license required (pending licenses not accepted)
• LA City Fire Card required
• Current ACLS, BLS (BCLS), and NRP certifications required
• Advanced AWHONN certification preferred/required as listed
• Minimum 2 years of labor & delivery nursing experience (experience with high-volume deliveries preferred — 200+ deliveries/month)
• Experience circulating for cesarean sections in the OR
• Charting experience in Epic required
• Ability to float between like units and work collaboratively in a fast-paced acute care environment

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong clinical skills in labor & delivery, fetal monitoring and neonatal care
• Expertise circulating for C-sections and knowledge of OR workflow
• Comfort with high-volume delivery environments and rapid decision-making
• Proficient with Epic electronic charting and documentation best practices
• Ability to work independently at night and escalate concerns appropriately
• Excellent communication, teamwork and patient-family education skills
• Familiarity with hospital policies, rapid response procedures and interdisciplinary support services
