Shift Type: Night, 4x12-hour (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM), 4 shifts per week (specific days scheduled/assigned by facility)
Hours per Week: 48
Candidate Pay Rate: $70 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality labor and delivery care for antepartum, intrapartum and postpartum patients
- Perform fetal monitoring and interpret tracings to support safe delivery outcomes
- Place, calibrate and manage IUPC (intrauterine pressure catheter) as indicated
- Triage obstetrical patients and prioritize care in a busy LDRP environment
- Assist and circulate for C-sections and support sterile vaginal exams
- Administer and manage medications including anticoagulation, antihypertensives, insulin drips and magnesium sulfate
- Start and maintain IV therapy, perform phlebotomy and manage central lines (CVC/PICC)
- Care for neonates and adults as needed and document thoroughly in Epic
- Float between like units as requested to meet patient care needs
Qualifications
- Active RN license (no pending license accepted at time of submission)
- Minimum 2 years of labor and delivery experience with postpartum care (hard-stop requirement)
- Required certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, NRP
- AWHONN Advanced certification is preferred
- Experience with Epic charting required
- Travel experience required (seasoned travelers preferred; first-time travelers may be considered only with strong L&D experience)
- Comfort working with a 1:3 patient ratio on med-surg L&D shifts
- RTO restrictions must be included at time of submission
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in fetal monitoring and interpretation
- Proficient with IUPC placement and calibration
- Strong IV therapy, phlebotomy and central line maintenance (CVC/PICC) skills
- Competent administering and titrating critical drips (insulin, magnesium sulfate) and managing anticoagulation/antihypertensives
- Experience circulating for C-sections and sterile vaginal exams
- Ability to chart accurately in Epic
- Comfort caring for both neonates and adult patients in an LDRP setting
- Able to triage obstetrical patients and work effectively in interdisciplinary teams
