Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic X-ray exams accurately and efficiently, ensuring excellent image quality
- Position patients with care and professionalism, prioritizing patient comfort and safety
- Operate and maintain radiographic equipment following safety and infection control protocols
- Document exams and patient information clearly and timely in the electronic health record
- Collaborate with radiologists, technologists, and clinical teams to deliver excellent patient care
- Complete required competency testing and maintain certifications as required by the facility
Qualifications
- Current BLS certification (required)
- Valid state license/certification for X-ray/radiologic technologist (will be verified)
- Completion of Trinity Specialty Specific Competency Testing and Trinity Skills Checklist as part of onboarding
- Ability to pass required health screenings: fit test, drug screen, immunizations and TB testing
- Professional patient-care skills and the ability to work well within a multidisciplinary team
Education
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program (Associate degree preferred) or equivalent certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient in radiographic positioning and image acquisition techniques
- Strong understanding of radiation safety and dose reduction principles
- Experience operating radiography equipment and basic troubleshooting
- Knowledge of infection control practices and patient assessment
- Good communication skills for patient interactions and interdisciplinary collaboration
- Familiarity with electronic health records and documentation of imaging procedures
