Candidate Pay Rate: $20 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to geriatric patients, supporting activities of daily living
- Assist with bathing, dressing, toileting, feeding, and mobility with dignity and respect
- Take and record vital signs and report any changes to the nursing team promptly
- Maintain a safe, clean environment and follow infection control practices
- Document patient observations and care activities accurately in the chart
- Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to deliver person-centered care
- Support residents’ emotional needs through friendly interaction and active listening
Qualifications
- GNA certification required (listed as Geriatric Nursing Assistant / GNA)
- Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
- Comfortable working with older adults and those with mobility or cognitive challenges
- Ability to pass background check and meet facility health/immunization requirements
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
- Previous experience in long-term care or geriatric settings is a plus
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- GNA certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of activities of daily living (ADLs) and safe transfer techniques
- Basic vital sign measurement and patient observation skills
- Familiarity with charting and documentation best practices
- Ability to follow care plans and escalate changes in condition
- Compassionate bedside manner and strong interpersonal skills
- Time management and reliability in a fast-paced care environment
