Contract Type: Per-Diem
Shift Type: Per diem schedule, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM (Day shift); specific days vary based on scheduling and facility needs
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $20 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate personal care and assistance to geriatric residents with dignity and respect
- Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, toileting and feeding
- Monitor residents' basic health indicators and promptly report any changes to nursing staff
- Support mobility, safe transfers and fall-prevention strategies to keep residents safe
- Document care and observations accurately and in a timely manner
- Communicate effectively with residents, families and the interdisciplinary care team
- Maintain a clean, comfortable and safe environment for residents
Qualifications
- Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) certification required
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Previous experience caring for older adults or in a long-term care setting is preferred
- Ability to pass required background checks, drug screening and health clearance (TB, immunizations)
- Strong communication skills, patience and a person-centered approach to care
- Reliable transportation and ability to travel to the facility as needed
Education
- High school diploma or GED required; GNA certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of geriatrics and age-related care needs
- Infection control and safe hygiene practices
- Basic charting and documentation skills
- Safe resident handling and transfer techniques
- Time management and the ability to prioritize resident needs
- Teamwork and effective communication with clinical staff and families
