Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM (Day); Rotating on-call coverage 4:00 PM - 7:00 AM (overnight call) — approx 3-4 call shifts/month, includes weekdays and about 1 weekend every 6 weeks (Rotating)

Candidate Pay Rate: $47 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform routine and specialized EEG testing across all ages — from neonates to geriatrics, both inpatient and outpatient
- Place electrodes accurately and safely for routine, sleep, and long-term monitoring studies
- Conduct ambulatory EEGs and portable recordings in ICU/NICU/PICU settings with professionalism and attention to detail
- Support ECI Brain Death testing in accordance with protocol and collaborating neurologists
- Respond to on-call requests promptly and professionally, providing high-quality bedside recordings when needed
- Document findings and chart promptly in Epic, communicating critical information to the care team
- Assist with EMU/LTM setups and video monitoring workflows to ensure reliable data capture
- Educate patients and families about procedures and aftercare, delivering compassionate patient-centered care
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of EEG technologist experience (2Y/1st timer acceptable)
- Proven skills in ECI Brain Death testing and electrode placement (required)
- Experience with portable ICU/NICU/PICU recordings and sleep-deprived/sleep EEGs (required)
- Ambulatory EEG and Long-Term Monitoring/Video Monitoring experience preferred
- Comfort floating between units and covering rotating on-call shifts
- BLS certification preferred
- Familiarity with Epic charting preferred
- Experience in Level 1 Trauma, ED, adult ICU, NICU or PICU environments is a plus
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient with EEG equipment, electrode application and impedance checking
- Skilled in ambulatory setups and long-term video-EEG monitoring workflows
- Able to perform portable recordings in critical care areas while maintaining safety and infection control
- Knowledge of ECI Brain Death protocols and clear communication with neurologists
- Comfortable charting in Epic and communicating clinical findings to interdisciplinary teams
- Ability to manage pediatric through geriatric patient populations with sensitivity
- Preferred familiarity with transcranial Doppler and intraoperative monitoring
