Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct patient care and support dignity in everyday tasks
• Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and toileting
• Take and record vital signs, reporting any changes promptly to the nursing team
• Support safe transfers and mobility assistance with attention to resident comfort
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow care plans closely
• Communicate clearly and kindly with residents, families, and the care team
• Adhere to infection control standards and keep the care environment clean and safe

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (state-appropriate) required
• Compassionate patient-centered approach with strong attention to detail
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Previous experience as a CNA or in long-term/post-acute care is a plus
• Ability to pass facility background checks and required health screenings

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in measuring and documenting vital signs and basic observations
• Knowledge of activities of daily living assistance and safe transfer techniques
• Familiarity with infection control practices and proper PPE use
• Good communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with nurses and therapists
• Reliable time management and the ability to prioritize resident needs
