Contract Type: Per-Diem
Shift Type: Per diem (as-needed), 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM day (specific days vary based on facility needs)
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $20 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and toileting with dignity and respect
- Monitor and record vital signs and report changes in condition to nursing staff promptly
- Provide compassionate companionship and emotional support to residents and families
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and safe use of assistive devices to prevent falls
- Support meal service, feeding assistance, and documentation of intake as needed
- Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control protocols
- Document care accurately and communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary team
Qualifications
- Current GNA certification or equivalent (required or state-appropriate credential)
- CPR/BLS certification preferred or required depending on facility policy
- Previous experience caring for geriatric or long-term care residents is a plus
- Ability to pass background checks, drug screening, and meet health requirements
- Strong communication skills and a patient, empathetic approach to care
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited GNA/CNA training program
Knowledge & Skills
- Familiarity with ADLs and basic nursing care routines
- Basic vital sign measurement and documentation
- Understanding of infection control and safety procedures
- Comfortable assisting with mobility and transfers using safe techniques
- Good charting habits and clear handoff communication
