Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide skilled, compassionate labor and delivery nursing care for neonates and adults
• Circulate for C-sections in the OR, ensuring patient safety and smooth team coordination
• Manage high-acuity deliveries and maintain appropriate 1:2 patient ratios
• Document accurately and efficiently in Epic to ensure continuity of care
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including RT, PT, pharmacy, radiology and social services
• Support rapid response and emergency processes when needed
• Adhere to hospital policies and infection control practices and maintain required certifications

Qualifications

• Active California RN license (required)
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience; experience in Labor & Delivery strongly preferred
• Current ACLS, BLS (BCLS), and NRP certifications
• Advanced AWHONN certification and L.A. City Fire Card required/preferred as listed
• Experience circulating for C-sections in the operating room
• Proven comfort working in high-volume delivery settings (manager prefers candidates with this exposure)
• Epic charting experience (required)
• Able and willing to float between like units when requested

Education

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program and active RN licensure in California (RN required)

Knowledge & Skills

• Labor and Delivery management and best practices
• C-section circulation workflows and OR collaboration
• Neonatal and adult patient care in acute settings
• High-volume delivery unit experience and triage
• Proficient use of Epic for charting and clinical documentation
• Strong communication and teamwork across disciplines
• Ability to maintain composure and prioritize in fast-paced, emergent situations
