Candidate Pay Rate: $72 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality perioperative nursing care in the ambulatory OR for pediatric and general surgery patients
- Prepare patients and operating rooms, assist surgeons, and support smooth procedure flow
- Manage and monitor NG tubes and assist with central venous line insertion/removal as appropriate
- Chart accurately and efficiently in Epic to ensure clear, timely patient documentation
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (radiology, pharmacy, social services, interpreters) to coordinate care
- Educate patients and families on pre- and post-operative care and discharge instructions
- Contribute to a safe environment by following facility vaccine and infection prevention guidelines
Qualifications
- Active California RN License (required)
- AHA BLS (required)
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience (1-2 years minimum noted; 2 years preferred)
- Ambulatory OR experience (required)
- Epic charting experience (required)
- Ambulatory Care Coordinator experience (preferred)
- Teaching hospital experience (preferred)
- COVID-19 vaccine + booster required per facility guidelines (medical/religious exemptions only)
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong perioperative nursing skills in ambulatory OR settings
- Familiarity with pediatric general surgery procedures and perioperative needs
- Competence with Epic electronic health record charting
- Skill in managing NG tubes and supporting central venous line care
- Ability to work with interdisciplinary teams and support services
- Excellent patient education and family communication skills
- Comfort working with a daily census and fast-paced ambulatory surgical flow
