Shift Type: Night, 3x12-hour schedule, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM NOC; typically 3 nights per week with every-other-weekend requirement
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $52 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Monitor cardiac telemetry continuously and rapidly interpret dysrhythmias to keep patients safe
- Respond to codes and rapid responses as an integrated member of the emergency team
- Manage IV therapy, start and maintain IVs, and care for central lines and PICCs with precision
- Administer and monitor blood products and follow heparin protocols
- Provide care for patients with tracheostomies, chest tubes, feeding tubes, and high flow nasal cannula
- Support hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis patients including pre/post management
- Chart accurately and efficiently in Epic to ensure clear communication across the care team
- Practice isolation precautions and proper PPE use to protect patients and staff
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including respiratory, pharmacy, PT, and rapid response to optimize care
Qualifications
- Current RN license required (pending licenses not accepted)
- Minimum 2 years of MS/Telemetry nursing experience
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Travel nurse experience required and comfortable with short-term assignments
- Ability to float within like units to support facility needs
- Charge nurse experience preferred
- Trauma Level II experience preferred
- Flu vaccine required per facility policy (medical/religious exemptions allowed); COVID-19 vaccine not required
Education
- Active RN license in appropriate state (NC) required
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation
- Dysrhythmia management and emergency response participation
- Epic charting and clinical documentation best practices
- IV therapy, central line and PICC management
- Blood product administration and heparin protocol experience
- Hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis patient management
- Tracheostomy and chest tube care
- Feeding tube care and gastrointestinal management
- Isolation precautions, PPE use, and wound care including wound vac
- High Flow Nasal Cannula and oxygen administration
