Shift Type: 4x10 Day shifts, 8:00 AM - 6:30 PM (Day); schedule is a 4x10 pattern with specific days determined by facility—technologist will float between the outpatient center and the hospital as needed
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $70 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform PET/CT and nuclear medicine studies accurately and compassionately, ensuring high-quality images
- Administer radiopharmaceuticals and follow all safety and radiation protocols
- Operate and troubleshoot PET/CT (Siemens) and nuclear cameras (E-CAM, Orbiter) and associated equipment
- Perform SPECT, bone scans, thyroid studies, renal scans, lung perfusion/ventilation, cardiac stress imaging and other specialty procedures
- Obtain venous access and perform phlebotomy and IV starts with patient comfort and safety in mind
- Document studies and patient information in Meditech (and Epic where used) and manage files in PACS
- Collaborate with physicians, technologists and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient care
- Mentor and work alongside students and trainees when present, supporting a learning environment
Qualifications
- Current CA state Nuclear Medicine Technologist license (required)
- ARRT (Nuclear Medicine) or NMTCB certification required (ARRT must be Nuc Med Tech certification)
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 1 year of Nuclear Medicine/PET experience (facility indicates 1 year required)
- Comfortable performing phlebotomy and starting/maintaining IVs
- Experience with PET/CT and SPECT procedures and with PACS, Meditech and/or Epic charting systems
- Able to float between outpatient center and hospital and work with adolescent to geriatric patients
- Travel experience not required; first-time travelers accepted
Education
- Nuclear Medicine Technologist certification (ARRT(N) or NMTCB) and relevant state licensure
- BLS certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient with PET/CT imaging workflows and Siemens PET/CT systems
- Familiarity with GE systems and nuclear cameras (E-CAM, Orbiter)
- Strong PACS skills for image retrieval and archiving
- Comfortable with radiopharmaceutical procedures, radiation safety and dose considerations
- Experienced in SPECT, myocardial perfusion, thyroid, renal and bone imaging protocols
- Skilled in venipuncture, IV insertion and patient preparation
- Competent using Meditech and Epic charting systems
- Ability to follow departmental protocols, prioritize studies and communicate clearly with clinical teams
