Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on personal care and assistance with activities of daily living
• Take and record vital signs, reporting changes to the nursing team
• Assist licensed nurses with treatments and patient mobility
• Document patient observations clearly and accurately in the chart
• Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for patients
• Support patients' emotional needs with compassion and respectful communication
• Follow infection control and safety procedures to protect patients and staff

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification — state-appropriate credentials required or eligible to obtain
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Comfortable working the 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM shift as scheduled
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
• Ability to pass standard background checks and drug screening as required by facility

Education

• High school diploma or GED and completion of an approved CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of basic patient care and ADLs
• Skill with taking and documenting vital signs accurately
• Understanding of infection prevention and proper PPE use
• Basic charting and recordkeeping skills
• Good body mechanics for safe patient transfers
• Strong observational skills and the ability to escalate concerns appropriately
• Friendly bedside manner and the ability to work collaboratively with nursing staff
