Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, person-centered care to geriatric residents, helping them feel safe and respected
- Assist residents with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Monitor and report changes in resident condition to the nursing team in a timely manner
- Accurately document care provided and observations in resident charts
- Support a clean, comfortable, and safe environment for residents at all times
- Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and family members to deliver coordinated care
Qualifications
- GNA certification (required)
- Current credentials in good standing as a Geriatric Nursing Assistant or equivalent
- Ability to work the 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM evening shift
- Strong communication and teamwork skills with a resident-first attitude
- Willingness to complete facility onboarding, health screenings, and background checks
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- GNA certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Comfortable assisting with activities of daily living and mobility support
- Basic knowledge of infection control and resident safety practices
- Skillful at observing and reporting changes in resident status
- Reliable documentation and time-management skills
- Empathy, patience, and the ability to build rapport with older adults
