Shift Type: Per diem (flexible days as-needed), 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM day shift
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $19 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist residents with daily living activities like bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Provide compassionate support during meals and help with feeding as needed
- Take and record vital signs accurately and communicate changes to nursing staff
- Help with safe transfers and mobility assistance to promote independence
- Maintain a safe, clean environment and follow infection control practices
- Document care provided and report observations to ensure continuity of care
- Build trusting relationships with residents and support their emotional needs
Qualifications
- Current GNA certification or state-approved Geriatric Nursing Assistant credential
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and required health screenings
- Comfortable with resident lifts and safe patient handling practices
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
- Previous experience in long-term care or geriatric settings is a plus but not required
Education
- High school diploma or GED
- Completion of a GNA training program or equivalent state-approved coursework
Knowledge & Skills
- Understanding of activities of daily living (ADLs) and elder care basics
- Basic vital sign measurement and routine observations
- Familiarity with infection prevention and resident safety protocols
- Good charting and documentation habits
- Compassionate bedside manner and strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to follow care plans and communicate changes clearly
