Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform and report accurate clinical laboratory testing across assigned sections during the night shift
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory analyzers and point-of-care devices
- Follow quality control, quality assurance, and safety protocols to ensure reliable results
- Document results, maintain clear records, and assist with instrument logs and maintenance documentation
- Participate in competency assessments including Trinity specialty testing and skills checklists
- Collaborate with the lab team and clinical staff to support patient care and timely result delivery
- Assist with inventory management, reagent control, and proper specimen handling procedures
Qualifications
- Active MLT or Medical Technologist credential (MLT / Medical Technologist) as required
- ASCP certification noted as a credential in the posting
- BLS certification
- License/Certificate Verification (state license or equivalent) required
- Completion of Trinity Specialty Specific Competency Testing and Trinity Skills Checklist as part of onboarding
- Ability to pass required health screenings: Fit test, Trinity 10 panel drug screen, Tdap, COVID-19 vaccine, MMR, Hepatitis B, Influenza vaccine, 2-step PPD or IGRA, Varicella, and physical/health statement
- Trinity Color Vision testing where applicable
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong understanding of clinical laboratory procedures and testing methodologies
- Proficiency with laboratory instrumentation, maintenance, and basic troubleshooting
- Knowledge of quality control, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance
- Accurate specimen handling and labeling practices
- Clear documentation skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently on night shift and communicate effectively with team members
