Roles & Responsibilities

• Prepare the operating room and surgical instruments, ensuring everything is sterile and ready
• Assist surgeons by expertly passing instruments and anticipating procedural needs
• Maintain strict sterile technique and uphold OR safety and infection control standards
• Perform instrument counts, documentation, and turnover between cases accurately and efficiently
• Collaborate with the perioperative team to deliver smooth, patient-focused care
• Respond to on-call duties on rotating weekends as scheduled

Qualifications

• Certification as a Scrub Tech (Certified Scrub Tech / CST) required
• Willingness and ability to work 4 x 10-hour day shifts and participate in rotating weekend on-call
• Comfort working in a fast-paced OR environment and following established protocols
• Professional communication skills and ability to work effectively with surgical teams

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong sterile technique and familiarity with operating room instrumentation
• Knowledge of perioperative procedures and OR workflow
• Ability to perform accurate instrument counts and documentation
• Teamwork, clear communication, and adaptability during case turnover
