Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to Med/Surg and Telemetry patients with compassion and clinical confidence
• Perform continuous cardiac monitoring and interpret telemetry data to detect and escalate changes in patient status
• Administer medications, treatments, and therapies safely and accurately according to orders and protocols
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and the care team to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Conduct thorough assessments, document care clearly, and communicate changes to the care team
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and discharge planning to promote recovery
• Participate in specialty competency testing and unit-specific skills checks to maintain clinical excellence

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (state-appropriate) required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NIHSS certification required
• Completion of Trinity Skills Checklist and specialty competency testing as part of onboarding
• Up-to-date immunizations and health requirements: COVID-19 vaccine, MMR, Hepatitis B, Influenza, Varicella, 2-step PPD or IGRA, fit test, physical/health statement, and drug screen
• Prior Med/Surg and Telemetry experience preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm recognition skills
• Solid Med/Surg assessment and clinical judgement
• Proficient in medication administration and IV therapy
• Clear, compassionate communication with patients, families, and team members
• Ability to work independently on night shift while collaborating with interdisciplinary staff
