Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide advanced cardiac critical care for CCU patients, including those with cardiogenic shock
• Continuously monitor and interpret hemodynamic data from PA catheters and telemetry
• Manage mechanical circulatory support devices such as IABP and Impella with competence and confidence
• Perform or support procedures including central line and Swan-Ganz insertions and assist with intubations
• Manage ventilators and provide post-intubation care when required
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and execute individualized care plans
• Document accurate, timely patient information in Meditech and communicate changes in condition
• Support unit initiatives, mentor team members, and contribute to a positive patient experience

Qualifications

• Current, active Registered Nurse licensure appropriate for Tennessee assignments
• Minimum 2 years of recent critical care or cardiac ICU nursing experience
• ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Experience with PA catheter management and advanced hemodynamic monitoring
• Hands-on experience with IABP and Impella devices
• Competence in ventilator management and intubation support
• Experience with central line and Swan-Ganz care or insertions
• CRRT experience preferred
• Telemetry monitoring experience and familiarity with Meditech documentation preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Hemodynamic monitoring and PA catheter interpretation
• Mechanical circulatory support: IABP and Impella
• Ventilator management and airway support including intubation
• Central line and Swan-Ganz care and procedures
• Telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation
• Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT) familiarity
• Electronic documentation with Meditech
• Strong critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills
