Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour nights, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM (team scheduling). Primarily night shifts with nights every other weekend; holidays rotate with permanent staff. Guaranteed ~36 hours per week. Schedule specifics set by team scheduling and may include floating to different areas.

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality respiratory care to patients from neonates through geriatrics across inpatient areas
- Manage and titrate mechanical ventilation and advanced ventilator modes using Drager, Servo I, and Carefusion devices
- Perform bedside procedures including bronchoscopy assistance and spirometry testing
- Administer non-invasive ventilation (BiPAP/CPAP) and high-flow oxygen therapy (Airvo2) as indicated
- Obtain and interpret EKGs and other cardiopulmonary diagnostics
- Accurately document assessments and interventions in EPIC
- Collaborate with nurses, providers, and the respiratory lead to ensure coordinated, patient-centered care
- Float to different hospital areas as needed and contribute to a positive team environment
Qualifications
- Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) via NBRC or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) required
- BLS (AHA) and ACLS required at time of submission
- NRP and PALS preferred
- Minimum 1 year of respiratory therapy experience
- Driver's license required at submission (used for radius verification)
- Willingness to follow facility policies (e.g., artificial nails prohibited in patient care areas)
- Must not be full-time, part-time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit (including CHI/Dignity) within a 50-mile radius
Education
- Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) via NBRC or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) required
- BLS and ACLS certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong knowledge of mechanical ventilation and ventilator management
- Familiarity with ventilator brands: Drager, Servo I, Carefusion
- Experience with BiPAP/CPAP devices (Vision, V60, V30, Respironics S/T) and high-flow systems (Airvo2)
- Bedside bronchoscopy and spirometry skills
- Proficient in EPIC charting and accurate documentation
- Excellent time management, adaptability, communication, and teamwork skills
- Comfort working across patient populations from neonates to geriatrics
