Roles & Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough occupational therapy evaluations and create individualized treatment plans
• Provide skilled therapeutic interventions to help patients regain independence
• Collaborate with nurses, PTs, SLPs and the broader care team to coordinate patient-centered care
• Document patient progress clearly and timely in the medical record
• Educate patients and caregivers on strategies, adaptive equipment and home programs
• Participate in discharge planning to ensure safe transitions and continued care

Qualifications

• Active California Occupational Therapist license or eligibility to obtain licensure
• Graduation from an accredited occupational therapy program
• Current basic life support CPR certification or willingness to obtain
• Comfortable with documentation and electronic medical records
• Strong communication and teamwork skills; travel assignment experience is a plus
• Willingness to pursue temp-to-perm transition if desired

Education

• Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program (Bachelor, Master or OTD as required for licensure)

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in OT assessments and interventions across adult care settings
• Knowledge of adaptive equipment, splinting basics and functional mobility strategies
• Ability to develop practical home programs and caregiver training
• Solid clinical reasoning, time management and documentation skills
• Comfort working within interdisciplinary teams and following facility protocols
